LAND DAY COMMEMORATED BY NEW YORKERS

Scores of concerned New Yorkers gathered at Times Square for an educational vigil on Friday the 30th of March, Land Day in Palestine. Their mission was to make the passerbys aware of the daily horrors faceing the Palestinian people . Mission accomplished!

BIAS KILLED THEN, KILLS NOW AS WELL

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has voiced deep disillusionment over the “diluted and duplicitous” American stance towards the issue of Jewish settlement expansion in the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Palestinian officials in Ramallah called the American position unacceptable and incompatible with the rule of international law. “The US says it is against settlements and settlement expansion, but what we see on the ground is that the US government is voting against any international resolution critical of the Israeli settlement policy.”

The Mainstream Media Is Completely Out Of Control

The mainstream media is completely out of control and nothing more than a big government (big bank, big war, big pharma, big prison, big police state, big agribusiness and so on) propaganda machine. If Ron Paul loses his bid for the Presidency it will be because their lies and smear cost us the election, and that could ultimately cost us our country. Their lies have certainly placed our nation in the jeopardy it is in today.

We can do something about it and boycott the mainstream media’s advertisers (their advertisers keep them in operation). Certainly if we do nothing, nothing will change.

And you might mention to those advertisers about Republic Broadcasting Network. :)

Opposition says Syrian rebel fighters to get salaries

Rebels fighting the government of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria will be paid salaries, the opposition Syrian National Council has announced.

Money will also be given to soldiers who defect from the government’s army, the SNC added, after a “Friends of the Syrian people” summit in Turkey.

So this is not a popular uprising but a coup fought by paid mercenaries.

Why Continue To Build The Settlements?

Let us be clear. The Israeli government is systematically taking and holding the land that could be the Palestinians’ future state. They have been doing so for decades. The deliberate population of Zev_Vladimir_Jabotinsky_uniformoccupied land violates the Geneva Conventions. The occupation itself enrages the Arab and Muslim world and creates a huge drag on the US’s strategic need to build up allies among emerging Arab democracies, and defuse Jihadism across the globe.

And Peter’s book is explicitly about this problem. It lies at the center of his argument. And yet it is all but ignored by his critics. The trope responses are varied in their weary familiarity. Let us examine them.

Syria says revolt over, but Army still shooting

Syria says the year-old revolt to topple President Bashar al-Assad is over, but the army again shelled opposition areas on Saturday and rebels said they would not cease fire until tanks, artillery and heavy weapons are withdrawn.

Washington and Gulf Arab states urged peace envoy Kofi Annan to set a timeline for “next steps” if there is no ceasefire, and Saudi Arabia repeated a call for rebels to be armed.
