Burbank Woman Detained For More Than 10 Hours For Painting Nails On Southwest Flight

A Burbank woman was detained for 10 hours for painting her nails on board a Southwest flight headed to Houston.

Jeanie Daniels was on the flight on Feb. 26 to see her boyfriend, Jimmy Hauser, who lives in Houston. Daniels asked the passengers on both sides if they would mind her painting her nails. They said, ‘No, go right ahead.’

But a flight attendant wasn’t so obliging.

Blogger demonstrates serious flaw in TSA body scanners

A blogger on Tuesday published a video showing how he had snuck a small metal case through the Transportation and Security Administration’s (TSA) “billion dollar fleet” of so-called nude body scanners.

Engineer Jonathan Corbett, who runs the blog TSA Out of Our Pants, explained that the problem lies in how the scanner uses dark colors to highlight potential threats like weapons or explosives.

“Again that’s light figure, black background, and BLACK threat items,” he explained. “Yes that’s right, if you have a metallic object on your side, it will be the same color as the background and therefore completely invisible to both visual and automated inspection.”

After all the harassment American travellers have had to endure, and the darned scanners do nothing but give you cancer, if you’re around them long enough?!?

What a flipping scam!!

So, Eric Holder, we should just trust that the president won’t assassinate us?

The good news is that Holder promised not to hunt citizens for sport. Holder proclaimed that:

“The president may use force abroad against a senior operational leader of a foreign terrorist organization with which the United States is at war – even if that individual happens to be a US citizen.”

The Resistance Rises: Reinstating the “Castle Doctrine”

The text of SB 1 states that its legislative purpose “is to protect citizens from unlawful entry into their homes by law enforcement officers or persons pretending to be law enforcement officers. Both citizens and law enforcement officers benefit from clear guidance about the parameters of lawful home entry, which will reduce the potential for violence and respect the privacy and property of citizens.”

To that end, the bill recognizes that an individual “may use force … to prevent or terminate a law enforcement officer’s unlawful entry.”

FCC Considers Granting Police the Authority to Shut Down Cell Phone Networks

The FCC is currently seeking public comments on whether or not it is appropriate and feasible to grant local police forces the power to shut down mobile phone networks.

The request for the public’s input comes after BATR officials in San Fransisco shut down cell towers in an attempt to stop a first amendment protected protest for “public safety” reasons.
