Obama mega-donor calls women ‘boobs,’ ‘bimbos,’ ‘tw*t,’ ‘c*nt’…

In response to the media firestorm surrounding Rush Limbaugh’s insulting comments about Democratic activist Sandra Fluke (comments for which Limbaugh apologized), Kirsten Powers writes about the liberal men who have used misogynistic rhetoric without facing the same outrage.

AIPAC Works for the 1 Percent

By Chris Hedges
Chris Hedges gave this talk Saturday night in Washington, D.C., at the Occupy AIPAC protest, organized by CODEPINK Women for Peace and other peace, faith and solidarity groups.

Late Night: Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart go after Rush Limbaugh

Calling Limbaugh “the poster boy for contraception,” Colbert said he was most concerned about two things. First, that Limbaugh’s statements (e.g. “Have you ever thought of not having sex so often?”) suggested a tenuous grasp of the basics of contraception.

“Yes, because that’s how the pill works — there’s one for each sperm. They act like little baby deflectors,” Colbert said sarcastically. “Rush knows what he’s talking about, because every time he’s had sex with a woman, he’s had to slip her a pill first.”

Over on “The Daily Show,” Stewart also wondered about Limbaugh’s understanding of birth control. “He seems to believe anyone using contraception is automatically having a ton of sex, and that contraception is something a woman has to pay for every time she has sex,” he said.

But unlike Colbert, Stewart argued that Limbaugh wasn’t worthy of so much media attention: “Personally, I don’t get too worked up about the things Rush Limbaugh says because he is, and has been for many years, a terrible person.”

YOUNG, JEWISH AND PROUD TO STAND UP AGAINST AIPAC’S POLICIES

On March 4, 2012, 22 year old member of Young Jewish and Proud (the youth wing of Jewish Voice for Peace) Liza Behrendt stood up at the 2012 AIPAC Policy Conference in a breakout session called “The Struggle to Secure Israel on Campus” to call attention to the silencing of Palestinians— and young Jews who support them — on U.S. campuses. This action was part of OCCUPY AIPAC.

Please stop: your “deep concern” has gotten us nowhere

We know for a fact that US President Barack Obama can utter extremely strong words. We know it because he heard him yesterday being as assertive and as firm as any leader can possibly be. Practically groveling for Jewish votes, Obama put on his “I heart Israel” face and let out all the stops.

So,anyone can understand why we Palestinians just don’t want to hear it when Obama or any of his mouthpieces in the government express their “deep concern” for Israel’s gross violations against the Palestinians. It is not even “concern” in most cases but a nonchalance at best.

How to Fund an American Police StateReal Money for an Imaginary War

At the height of the Occupy Wall Street evictions, it seemed as though some diminutive version of “shock and awe” had stumbled from Baghdad, Iraq, to Oakland, California. American police forces had been “militarized,” many commentators worried, as though the firepower and callous tactics on display were anomalies, surprises bursting upon us from nowhere.

It appears, sadly, that the Federal government has chosen the path of suppressing unrest rather than truly addressing – and fixing – its root causes.

This is what dictatorships do, and the US government has lurched, in the last 10 years or so, from being a constitutional republic into a banana republic, reverting to “Code Napoleon” law, where people are considered guilty until proven innocent, and extrajudicial assassination is labeled “legal” by the current attorney general.

Welcome to Ameristan, folks, courtesy of the last two administrations!!

Ron Paul deserves the GOP nomination and more media attention

With the addition of Washington, it seems that Mitt Romney is the winner — but what about Ron Paul?

Why can’t the Republican party see the value of supporting Ron Paul as their political candidate for the 2012 presidential race?

It seems that the values being expressed in this year’s primaries are that if you aren’t an extreme religious fanatic or a crooked businessman, you shouldn’t be president.

Six Romney Family Members Hit Campaign Trail… For RON PAUL

No less than six relatives of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney have joined the campaign trail in the race for the GOP nomination, but they’re not supporting the former Massachusetts governor, they’re campaigning for Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

Three of Romney’s relatives will even speak at Idaho caucus sites, declaring their support for Paul in a story that is sure to create a buzz around Paul’s campaign as he looks to pick up his first caucus win on Super Tuesday.

Obama, AIPAC And The Rest of US

Yesterday at AIPAC annual conference, the American president had to go out of his way to appease his Jewish crowd. He used every trick in the book, he even peppered his talk with some Yiddish sporadic words and he did it all just to justify his decision not to launch a World War as yet.

One should ask, how come a lobby of a small state that practices the most appalling racist expansionist politics and practices has managed to gain so much political power in the USA.

Govt. agencies, colleges demand applicants’ Facebook passwords

If you think privacy settings on your Facebook and Twitter accounts guarantee future employers or schools can’t see your private posts, guess again.

Employers and colleges find the treasure-trove of personal information hiding behind password-protected accounts and privacy walls just too tempting, and some are demanding full access from job applicants and student athletes.

Welcome to the Post-Constitutional United States of Ameristan, where personal privacy no longer exists.

And again, I strongly exhort those people with skills (particularly if you have kids) to get out this country now, while you still can!!
