Cops Confiscate Cameras at Ohio Congressman’s Town Hall

A congressman from Ohio had cops grab the cameras of constituents during a town hall meeting. Steve Chabot, a Republican, had cell phones and cameras confiscated in order to “prevent an embarrassing Youtube video from making the rounds,” according to Carlos Miller, who runs a blog documenting efforts by the state to stifle the First Amendment rights of photographers.

Steve, you just embarrassed yourself more than any YouTube video could have hoped to!

Nancy Pelosi Says She’d Back Simpson-Bowles Plan

Two progressive organizations have found themselves in the unusual position of being on the opposite side of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. Over the course of the past two years, the former House Speaker has been the most significant obstacle to the ongoing effort to slash entitlements and cut social spending.

But a series of recent comments, and reports that Pelosi was willing to accept draconian cuts as part of a debt-ceiling deal, have liberals worried that their most powerful and passionate defender may be buckling on the issue.

Social Security is not an “entitlement”: it is a program into which working Americans have paid every time they received a payroll check.

The money has been looted, and continues to be looted, by an out of control US government, hell-bent on world hegemony.

I would very much love for Congress to have to afford medical care on Medicare, which many hospitals and physicians no longer accept on its own.

These days, it takes some form of Medicare supplement, for which individuals must pay out of pocket, before you can even walk – or be wheeled into – an emergency waiting room.

Obama: Romney would not have got bin Laden

Dear President Pussy. YOU did not “get” Osama Bin Laden. The real Bin Laden died in December 2001, and whoever got whacked a year ago was just some poor schmuck in the wrong place at the wrong time. Repeated sets of faked photos leaked by the White House did not fool anyone.

… which is why the judge is now refusing to allow the release of any more photos, which are probably no more convincing than your earlier efforts.

Another point. Whoever it was that was murdered in their home a year ago, you personally had nothing to do with it. Pakistan staged the initial raid, then you sent in a team to grab the body and the headlines, then they dumped the body at sea when the fraud became known. You personally were not there. You were safe and sound inside the White House.

(Note to the ministry of Propaganda: When you stage a photo of a tense meeting in the situation room to give to the media, REMEMBER TO ACTUALLY TURN ON THOSE LAPTOPS!)Your commemorative toys to the contrary…

(And by the way, the above is already marked down 50%) … the fact is you had no more to do with the murder of whoever-it-actually-was than J. Edgar Hoover had with the killing of John Dillinger (who was actually brought down by Melvin Purvis). So before you base your campaign for re-election on a statement that Romney would not have gotten Bin Laden, be aware that out here on the real world, the world outside your propaganda fantasies, We The People know that You did not get Bin Laden either, and we are insulted that you thought we were stupid enough to fall for such a hoax.

LA riots 1992: the key figures

Rodney King was beaten by police on March 3, 1991 following a high-speed chase. He suffered a fracture to the base of his skull. The riot began a year later when the accused officers were cleared. King, 47, has since been arrested for alcohol-related crimes and appeared on “Celebrity Rehab.” He received a $3.8 million settlement in a civil case against the city but spent it. He later became engaged to a juror who had served in the civil case. He is currently promoting his newly published memoir.
