Yesterday we wrote about surging gun sales and surging gun stocks.
Apparently a big part of the boom lately has been the fear/belief that Obama will get re-elected, and then as a lame duck push through a fresh batch of strict gun regulations.
Of course, there are already gun regulations that have gone through (bans on various weapons, waiting periods, background checks, etc.).
So what’s been the impact?
We’ll let the gun companies tell you that in their own words.
This is from the 10-K of gunmaker Sturm, Ruger:
Lawrence Davidson argues for the adoption of universal standards of civilized normality based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. On that basis, he says one would find Israeli society chronically abnormal.
”As it turns out, many Israelis do support the state’s use of torture, arbitrary arrest, restriction of movement, the arbitrary confiscation of property, placing barriers in the way of marriage, and the purposeful maintenance of less than adequate standards of living for the Palestinians under their jurisdiction. Thus, one must conclude that there is a wide gap between what we might consider to be ‘universal standards for civilized normality’ and those standards of ‘local normality’ in place in Israel.” (Lawrence Davidson)
Here are four quotations that should have sounded off the rooftops since they were first spoken. Just like so many Truths that have been stripped from public awareness.
The Associated Press reveals today that New York Police Department (NYPD) intelligence agents traveled around the country and spied on a number of social justice groups and individuals, including those in the Palestine solidarity movement.
Too bad they weren’t keeping a careful eye on those Israelis who were dancing and sheering as the World Trade Towers fell.
“Mass incarceration on a scale almost unexampled in human history is a fundamental fact of our country today,” writes the New Yorker’s Adam Gopnik. “Over all, there are now more people under ‘correctional supervision’ in America – more than 6 million – than were in the Gulag Archipelago under Stalin at its height.”
Is this hyperbole? Here are the facts. The U.S. has 760 prisoners per 100,000 citizens. That’s not just many more than in most other developed countries but seven to 10 times as many. Japan has 63 per 100,000, Germany has 90, France has 96, South Korea has 97, and Britain – with a rate among the highest – has 153….
My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded. I , of course, answered yes to both questions. Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed. I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack. The Government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and probably everyone else.
Just passing this along for your information: I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?? My answer was None of your damn business!!
“None of your business” is essentially admitting you have guns. Far better to just lie about it. Just imagine the look on the faces of the goon squad limping away from your house and saying, “But, but, but, the commander said they didn’t have guns in there!!!”
Like it or not, The National Defense Authorization Act destroyed three of the ten constitutional guarantees of liberty and created a new American Justice system.
We also know that many members of Congress are either blackmailed or financially leveraged by the global control, Tribe machine. We know they killed Kennedy for going after the Federal Reserve. We know they were the primary and enduring cause of the Bolshevik Revolution and the perpetrators of the murderous policies that came out of it. This last we can prove. The rest we can infer from ‘the duck equation’. There are other, ‘monstrous lies’, which we can also prove to be lies. We can prove them as comprehensively and easily as the Bolshevik Revolution; just as easily as we can prove who was behind the Afghanistan, Iraqi and Libyan wars and who is pushing to destroy Syria and Iran.
Before finally being forced to outlaw insider stock trading by members of congress, a last minute watered down bill appeared and was passed after a secret meeting.
Research into unmanned drones is on the rise in Idaho, and the technology is being used in a number of ways.
Idaho researchers are working with drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) by providing information for gathering and developing map data for landscape habitats, and working with entities such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Defense in addressing safety concerns in the national airspace.
In 2011, Boise State and Washington State University worked in conjunction with the U.S. Geological Survey on a project that took to the sky in utilizing UAVs to track environmental threats to Idaho wildlife.
Soldiers stand by to drive petrol tankers as part of contingency plans to stop a strike plunging Britain into chaos
Emergency plans for soldiers to drive petrol tankers to stop a threatened strike plunging Britain into chaos have been drawn up by the Government.
The contingency plans are aimed at preventing a repeat of the turmoil caused by protesting lorry drivers when Tony Blair was Prime Minister.
The results of a strike ballot of Britain’s 2,000 tanker drivers will be announced tomorrow – and both Ministers and well-placed sources in the drivers’ union Unite believe they will vote in favour of a walkout starting on April 3.
Ministers are ready to use police to prevent striking drivers building blockades and will begin putting together a squad of up to 300 qualified army drivers to man trucks in place of tankers drivers.
Francis Maude, the Cabinet Office minister, called on Unite to avert the sort of industrial action that brought Britain to its knees when lorry drivers staged protests across Britain in 2000 when Tony Blair was prime minister.
He said: “Widespread strike action affecting fuel supply at our supermarkets, garages and airports could cause disruption across the country.
Following a DHS order of 400 million rounds of ammo and reports the government has suspended ammo sale, Ruger has now stopped accepting orders for firearms.
