WAR: Marching Toward Syria: Eyes Cast on Iran

While all the incessant warmongering directed toward Iran at the annual AIPAC policy conference in Washington was grabbing the headlines, the momentum for Western intervention into Syria continued to steadily build. All those neo-con “real men,” it appears, just might prefer to go to Tehran via Damascus.

Syria Uprising: Mossad, Blackwater And CIA ‘Led Operations In Homs’

CIA, Mossad and Blackwater agents are involved in military violence in the Homs district, an Arab news agency exclusively reports.

According to Al-Manar, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based militant group and political party, a coordination office with agents from the three branches of intelligence is in operation in nearby Qatar.

Salim Harba, a Syrian expert in strategic affairs, told Al-Manar the office was established: “Under American-Gulf sponsorship. The office includes American, French, and Gulf – specifically from Qatar and Saudi Arabia – intelligence agents, as well as CIA, Mossad, and Blackwater agents and members of the Syrian Transitional Council.”

Netanyahu, Obama Pushing Panetta to Rush Bunker Busters to Israel

Top US officials are reporting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally requested that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta approve the sale of refueling aircraft and GBU-28 bunker buster bombs to Israel.

While this is nothing new in and of itself, President Obama is said to have told Panetta to “work directly” with his Israeli counterpart and to “favorably consider” the request with an eye toward sending the advanced weaponry as soon as possible.

Both the GBU-28 and the refueling aircraft would be key elements of an Israeli attack on Iran, with the long distance of flight and the heavily reinforced positions inside Iran, particularly after decades of threats to attack have given Iran plenty of time to reinforce those positions.

IF these reports are true (and they are not sourced), the upcoming talks with Iran are just window-dressing where nothing presented will be acceptable to the Iranians, and the war against Iran will be off and running very quickly after that.

General: Syrian air defense complicates US options

The advanced air defense weapons Russia has provided to Syria’s regime would make it difficult to establish a no-fly zone there as part of an effort to help the rebellion, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East told senators Tuesday.

Marine Gen. James Mattis, head of U.S. Central Command, declined to detail any military options the Pentagon has developed for action against the regime. But he told the Senate Armed Services Committee that it would take a significant military commitment to create even safe havens in Syria where aid could be delivered, as Sen. John McCain suggested Monday.

So, another “coalition of the willing” to take out Assad?!?

I have to say that the only “coalition” with the hubris to do this would be NATO.

Although, if NATO does go in to Syria, what will Russia do at that point?!?

Obama Administration Moves to Aid Syrian Opposition

Last week, a group of senior Obama administration officials met to finalize a package of options for aiding both the internal and external Syrian opposition, to include providing direct humanitarian and communications assistance to the Syrian opposition, two administration officials confirmed to The Cable. This meeting of what’s known as the Deputies Committee of the National Security Council set forth a new and assertive strategy for expanding U.S. engagement with Syrian activists and providing them with the means to organize themselves, but stops short of providing any direct military assistance to the armed opposition.

I have to wonder just how long these processes will be allowed to work, if there is no clear rebel “victory” before a US-imposed, unilateral (allegedly “humanitarian” no-fly zone will be approved by the Obama administration.

And remember: the moment there are movements of foreign troops on the ground in Syria, Iran is treaty-bound to come to its aid militarily. That gives the US the excuse to go into Iran.

‘Syria Danny’ Caught Staging CNN War Propaganda Stunt

The clip above shows Danny being connected to CNN for one of the many interviews the station has conducted within him over the last few months.

While waiting to be connected, Danny says, “Well, let the gunfire sound then,” before subsequently asking someone off camera, “Did you tell him to get the gunfire ready?” An explosion is heard soon after, but Danny doesn’t even flinch.

The person working the camera, Danny himself, and at least one person off camera, clearly appear to be coordinating staged gunfire and explosions to coincide with the CNN interview.

Leaked Email: Pentagon Admits Plan To Direct Terror Attacks Inside Syria

A shocking email leaked as part of the Wikileaks Stratfor data dump reveals that the Pentagon is planning to direct terror attacks and assassinations inside Syria in a bid to topple President President Bashar al-Assad.

Lapdogs of War: Neo-Conmen Feed Hunger for Endless War on Capitol Hill

Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham, an Joseph Lieberman have long been the pro Israel and war at all times neocon group that many are finally starting to label them.

These three senators essentially call for war at all times on all issues, no matter the price.

They lead the charge and spewed the military industrial complex propaganda in the build up to the failed Iraq War, they called for the humanitarian “attack” on Libya, and they are now calling for an attack on both Syria and Iran.

Back to basics in Palestine

According to the accompanying report, the destruction of Palestinian olive trees by Jewish settlers – under the watchful eye of the Israeli occupation army – cost farmers over US$500,000 in 2011. It isn’t only income that the settlers are targeting. They know the land is also a source of empowerment to millions of Palestinians. Their ultimate aim is to break the bond that has

united the native inhabitants of Palestine since time immemorial.

But will they succeed?

Obama Administration Decides to Aid Syrian Opposition

The Obama administration has retreated from its initial refusal to stay out of the conflict in Syria by agreeing this week to provide direct humanitarian and communications assistance to the Syrian opposition.
