European Finance Ministers Driven To Despair As Reality Returns

The release of the Troika report (stating the what-we-all-know that is much larger haircuts will be needed for any type of debt sustainability) seemed to bring events this weekend in Europe to an early halt, according to SudDeutsche. As the sheer mathematical certainty of the event horizon that is Europe these days is slammed at light speed into the foreheads of the European cognoscenti, we finally see some actual frustration, foot-stomping, and ‘throw-your-teddy-bear-out-of-the-pram’-ness. The Telegraph reports on some choice turns-of-phrase among the leading players, our favorite being:

“It was grim. The worst mood I have ever seen, a complete mess,” said one eurozone finance minister.

European Status Update: No Progress

The math of the European bailout (using the EFSF or otherwise) is so easy even a cave-EUReaucrat can do it: It doesn’t work. But leave it to Europe’s financial ministers to figure this out in the literally last minute.

Karzai: Afghans Would Side With Pakistan In War

KABUL, Afghanistan – Afghanistan would support Pakistan if there were a military conflict between Pakistan and another country, including the United States, told Pakistani TV television in an interview broadcast Saturday.

The comments were made during an interview with Geo Television, and come amid recent tension between the two countries over border violence and accusations of Pakistani involvement in the September 20 assassination of an Afghan peace envoy, former Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani.

US Troops Wearing UN Colors

According to a report in World Net Daily, “Troops in the United States’ USNORTHCOM ranks appear to have adopted a shoulder patch showing a North American continental design, with an emphasis on United Nations colors, giving evidence of the strength to integrate North America.

“The patch reveals the continent of North America in the orange and blue colors typical to the UN.

“It also carries the image of a mosque to designate the unit’s service in North Africa in World War II.”

Solyndra to Auction Assets, But Taxpayers Won’t See a Dime

As part of its bankruptcy proceedings, defunct solar company Solyndra will auction off thousands of items from its California production facility on Nov. 2 and 3. But taxpayers won’t see a dime of the proceeds, due to the Energy Department’s decision to subordinate taxpayers to Solyndra’s private financiers in repayment of their investments.

The credit rating agencies have strongly suggested that further rating cuts are likely if Congress does not come up with a credible long-run plan. Hence, we expect at least one credit downgrade in late November or early December when the super Committee crashes.

“For God’s sake bomb …. somebody!!!” — Official White Horse Souse

Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case of military conflict between Pakistan and the United States, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said in an interview to a private Pakistani TV channel broadcast on Saturday.

The remarks were in sharp contrast to recent tension between the two neighbors over cross-border raids, and Afghan accusations that Pakistan was involved in killing the chief Afghan peace envoy, former Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani, by a suicide bomber on September 20.

“God forbid, If ever there is a war between Pakistan and America, Afghanistan will side with Pakistan,” he said in the interview to Geo television.

Looks like the US also lost the war in Afghanistan but didn’t bother to tell the American people.

Eurozone summit – despair and backbiting in the corridors of power

Ron Paul Is Still Exploding!

Dr. Ron Paul is doing something unheard of in modern United States politics, he is waking Americans up by telling the truth and pointing the finger at the real problems, the banking cartel and their control over our monetary and political system.

Dr. Paul essentially won the Ames straw poll and more recently took the California straw poll decisively, an important trend indicative of his very good chances at the GOP nomination.

Dr. Paul is a self made-man with plenty of experience in United States politics, and he the only GOP candidate that is not banking cartel-owned meaning he is the only one we can trust.

If Europe Should Fail

If Europe should fail this is what we can expect to happen – European banks will crash and burn and take down major US banks, which are already walking wounded basket cases anyway. We are likely to see a lengthy unscheduled “bank holiday” – banks will slam their doors and if your money is still inside their vaults then you are out of luck. Major disruptions in supply and distribution of food and fuel in particular will trigger general panic, and riots and mob violence will spread rapidly – what we have seen on TV happening in Greece will suddenly happen on the streets of the US and many other countries.

Folks, I don’t want to be “Mrs. Chicken Little of Hawaii, 2011″, but PLEASE: have some plans; be prepared, be logical, and think things through.

Make sure that you have additional storable food on hand; bleach with which to purify water; extra medications for yourself, your loved ones, and your pets, and a well-equipped first aid kit.

If the excrement hits the ventilation shaft, and you find yourself in an area where unrest is about happening (particularly if you live in high density urban areas), have a plan for how to reconnect with loved ones.

Have a “bug-out” kit in your car, to be able to get to a place of safety.

Make sure you have reliable communication with you, and a long-range, two-way radio may well be the way to go, if for some reason land-line and cell phone communication is disrupted.

Find a small group of people you can rely on and trust to work with, collaboratively, to work with through the immediate emergency.

Should some of these events happen, planning, not panic, will be what will ultimately pay off in terms of your survival.

20% of Detroit in the dark, paper says

“I know you heard that 50% of the city is in the dark. I wouldn’t say that high, but it is a great number,” City Councilman James Tate told CNN Wednesday. “And I don’t care what side (of town) you’re talking about – east, west, more affluent – you see lights out everywhere.”

Strapped for cash like most cities, Detroit officials are trying novel – and controversial – ways to fix the longstanding issue: The Detroit Works Project proposed by Major David Bing would shift the city’s resources to the more vibrant neighborhoods, prioritizing working lights, water systems and trash pickup to areas that are heavily invested. On the other hand, blighted areas – huge swaths of the city – would be divested of resources in a bid to encourage residents to move out of those parts of the city.

Did You Know Feds Will Temporarily Cut Off All TV and Radio Broadcasts on Nov. 9?

If you have ever wondered about the government’s ability to control the civilian airwaves, you will have your answer on November 9th.

On that day, federal authorities are going to shut off all television and radio communications simultaneously at 2:00PM EST to complete the first ever test of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS).

This isn’t a wild conspiracy theory. The upcoming test is posted on the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau website.

In essence, the authority to seize control of all television and civilian communication has been asserted by the executive branch and handed to a government agency.

One has to wonder precisely what the Federal government might be up to on that date, and for how long, precisely, all television and radio broadcasts will be down?

Or, even more potentially disconcerting, when might this be used in the future to prevent certain bits of news from reaching the American public?!?

Greek Fire: The Yellow Bird is Singing

Greece is split in two. On one side are politicians, bankers, tax evaders and media barons supporting the most class-driven, violent social and cultural restructuring western Europe has seen. The “other” Greece includes the overwhelming majority of the population. It was in evidence yesterday when up to 500,000 people took to the streets; the largest demonstration in living memory. The attempt to divide civil servants (ritually presented as lazy and corrupt) from private sector employees (the “tax evading” plumbers) has misfired. The only success the Papandreou government can boast is the abolition of the old right-left division – replaced by a divide between the elites and the people.

the Papandreou government may well not last long enough to implement the austerity changes being demanded.

Iceland had the right idea; they fired the politicians who put the country into a world of financial hurt, and jailed the corrupt bankers responsible.

Very few people got hurt, and Icelanders literally created a new Constitution for their country, using input from the internet.

This is a healthy model of how people can say “no” to a government attempting to stick them with odious debt, relatively peacefully, and very successfully.

GUANTANAMO – The U.S.’s Very Own Concentration Camp

Although Americans have prided themselves in promoting and touting democracy and a justice system based upon constitutional principles, our country remains silent in the face of a prison camp.

The continued existence of the Guantanamo base should be an outrage to every thinking American who truly believes that the Constitution and Bill of Rights must be the bedrock for American jurisprudence, if we truly consider ourselves to be a nation of laws.

These laws allow for due process; that people are considered innocent until proven guilty, and have the right to a trial by jury of their peers, is considered sacrosanct in American jurisprudence.

Guantanamo is that absolute antithesis of these values, and should be shut down, with all those held either released because there is no real evidence against them, or tried in a court of law, period, end of discussion.

Libya: A Brutal, Gratuitous Slaying, the New World Order in All Its Transparent Barbarism

“It was a brutal, gratuitous slaying of an almost 70-year-old man, killed after being captured. And if the intent of 216 days of NATO bombing was to kill him in the first place, which is clearly the case, with the multiple bombings of his compound in Tripoli, which in one case killed one of his sons and three grandchildren, it is clearly targeted killing and I suppose NATO can now claim success. It has got what it wanted.”

“I don’t know if Libya is able to be put back together again. The Western powers incited regional and tribal differences in order to topple the former Gaddafi government, and believing you can put that genie back in the bottle is overly optimistic – and disingenuous.

Warning: very graphic photo of the dead Ghadaffi at the top of this article.

The Libyan people may well be in for a monumental civil war to determine which of the factions comes out on top.

Of course, that doesn’t matter for the US or NATO; the oil will be flowing, and the rebels have committed to the establishment of a private central bank, which has already put whatever government is left standing in Libya into a hurtful world of debt.

Libyan War Lawsuit Against Obama by 10 U.S. Lawmakers Thrown Out by Judge

President Barack Obama can’t be sued by 10 federal lawmakers who accused him of violating the War Powers Act by ordering the attack on Libyan forces without Congress’s approval, a judge said.

U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton ruled today that members of the House of Representatives failed to demonstrate that they had the right to sue executive branch officials, either as members of Congress or as taxpayers. Walton said he was “powerless to depart” from previous rulings by the Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington that limit such lawsuits

Welcome to the brave new world of the United States of America, in which an unindicted war criminal President can begin any war he wants without any Congressional oversight, and there will be absolutely no repercussions for such an action!

European Union Countries Wrangle Over Recapitalizing Banks

Although the ministers did not say how much of a cut they are aiming for, a report from Greece’s international debt inspectors suggested that the value of Greece’s bonds may have to be slashed as much as 60 percent to get the country solvent enough to repay its debt.

However, Charles Dallara, the managing director of the Institute of International Finance, who has been leading the negotiations for the banks, said in an interview with The Associated Press that an agreement remained elusive.

“We’re nowhere near a deal,” he said.

If Greece t defaults in the not too distant future, and this will absolutely have a severely negative domino effect on economies around the world, including our own.

Veterans Benefits: Lawmakers Open To Changes In Military Benefits

The government’s promise of lifetime health care for the military’s men and women is suddenly a little less sacrosanct as Congress looks to slash trillion-dollar-plus deficits.

Republicans and Democrats alike are signaling a willingness – unheard of at the height of two post-Sept. 11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan – to make military retirees pay more for coverage. It’s a reflection of Washington’s newfound embrace of fiscal austerity and the Pentagon’s push to cut health care costs that have skyrocketed from $19 billion in 2001 to $53 billion.

Memo to Congress: slash YOUR benefits, and stop these immoral and illegal wars!

Unlike most of those in Congress, our military Vets have truly earned their benefits; and deserve to be taken care of in the best way this country can manage.

McCain calls end of Iraq War “a strategic victory for our enemies”

President Barack Obama’s conservative critics on Friday blasted his announcement that all US troops will leave Iraq by year’s end, citing worries US archnemesis Iran will fill the vacuum.

Memo to Senator Mc Cain, who obviously did not get the memo as to how this announcement came about: the US government, was told in no uncertain terms by the Iraqi government, that the date, stated by the SOFA agreement of 31 December, 2011, was absolutely firm.

The powerful Shiite cleric, Muqtada Al Sadr, underscored this in a statement made two days ago in which he absolutely rejected the presence of American troops on Iraqi soil after the end of 2011. The Leader of the Shiite al-Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, has announced rejection of the presence of US Forces, including military trainers, in Iraq after the end of 2011, according to the Security Agreement signed between Iraq and the US.

There is no real choice for the US government, unless there is some successful, monumental arm-twisting at the last moment, but to leave.

And Senator, you may be blissfully unaware of the following (and, as some say, ignorance is bliss), but in the US invasion and occupation of Iraq, we destroyed the entire infrastructure of that country, which had, before these actions, the highest standard of living in the Middle East. We destroyed their schools, their water system, their hospitals, and their commercial sites. Alleged “reconstruction” projects, funded by the US have created great profits for some companies, but the workmanship has been horrendously shoddy, and in most cases, not even functional by the time they are completed. A reconstruction contract for the building of 142 primary health centers across Iraq is running out of money, after two years and roughly $200 million, with no more than 20 clinics now expected to be completed, Parsons Inc. will walk away from more than 120 clinics, with monies for the projects already paid. This is an 86% shortfall of projected completions.By the end of 2006, the $18.4 billion that Washington has allocated for Iraq’s reconstruction runs out.

We bombed Iraq with depleted uranium weapons to the point where women in the most heavily bombed areas, Like Falujah, have been cautioned by their doctors to never have children. (Waring: the following contains graphic footage of children born with horrendous malformations) But Senator Mc Cain, I really encourage you to watch this, because the epidemic of malformations is one of the “gifts” of the American invasion of Iraq.

Young women in Fallujah in Iraq are terrified of having children because of the increasing number of babies born grotesquely deformed, with no heads, two heads, a single eye in their foreheads, scaly bodies or missing limbs. In addition, young children in Fallujah are now experiencing hideous cancers and leukaemias. These deformities are now well documented, for example in television documentaries on SKY UK on September 1 2009, and on SKY UK June 2008. Our direct contact with doctors in Fallujah report that: In September 2009, Fallujah General Hospital had 170 new born babies, 24% of whom were dead within the first seven days, a staggering 75% of the dead babies were classified as deformed.

And not only has it affected Iraqis exposed to to DU: it has affected American soldiers and their offspring exposed to this as well.

“The very worst thing we do to our men and women in uniform is expose them to depleted uranium that bleeds radioactive isotopes that break DNA and cause every type of cancer and enter their reproductive organs and cause birth defects that will surface in the generations to follow.

The de-Bathification of Iraq triggered a sectarian war between Sunnis and Shiites, something unheard of during Saddam Hussein’s time in office. The US government then gave Shiite components control of a massively corrupt and dysfunctional civil government. And by replacing Sunnis with Shiites in power, did you and the rest of those in the Senate, not understand that the greatest benefactor of such a move would be Iran?!?

That move blundered past the border of unintended consequences into complete stupidity.

This same, US-backed government has been shooting peaceful protestors in cold blood.

So, let’s recap, shall we, Senator Mc Cain?!?

1. The US never got the oil it sought, which was the primary rationale for invading and occupying Iraq.

2. Over 4,000 very brave American military service members died in this military misadventure. Many more have been maimed for life.

3. Over one million Iraqis have been killed by the US invasion and occupation. Over one million Iraqis have met violent deaths as a result of the 2003 invasion, according to a study conducted by the prestigious British polling group, Opinion Research Business (ORB). These numbers suggest that the invasion and occupation of Iraq rivals the mass killings of the last century—the human toll exceeds the 800,000 to 900,000 believed killed in the Rwandan genocide in 1994, and is approaching the number (1.7 million) who died in Cambodia’s infamous “Killing Fields” during the Khmer Rouge era of the 1970s.

4. Depleted uranium has sickened and caused massive malformations for both Iraqis and Americans.

5. We have left Iraqi infrastructure in absolute shambles, and the Iraqi government doesn’t have the money to repair or replace the vast amount of damage we have done there.

Sir, US withdrawal here was not a “strategic victory” for our enemies; this invasion and occupation of Iraq, and its aftermath, was a clear demonstration of the collective hubris of US foreign policy, and its ultimate consequences.

I will share with you, Senator, that my late Father, a World War II Veteran, enlisted, disabled, because he understood, very clearly, that the US was on the right side of history at that point.

But with these pre-emptive wars against Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya; the covert wars against Somalia, Yemen, and Uganda; and the coming wars against Pakistan, Syria, and ultimately Iran, we, sir, are absolutely not on the right side of history.

These wars have bankrupted this country, morally and fiscally, and the US government itself may well be in its final death-spasms because of these unending wars.

The invasion and occupation of Iraq, which you so vigorously supported, turned out as badly as it has because it should never have happened in the first place.; and you and your Neocon buddies have no one else but yourselves to blame for that.

Of course, none of you will ever take responsibility for putting this country on a war footing, which was based on an absolute pack of lies.

Can US Government Murder show a positive trend? Pics to ponder…

U.S. Government murders at will – or at least claims the right to do so.

Who’s next? Maybe they have a surprise gift for us in mind sometime in the future.

Do these pictures show a trend that may solve one of America’s greatest problems?

Poll: 1 in 3 vets sees Iraq, Afghan wars as wastes

One in three U.S. veterans of the post-9/11 military believes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were not worth fighting, and a majority think that after 10 years of combat America should be focusing less on foreign affairs and more on its own problems, according to an opinion survey released Wednesday.

#OccupyMarines are Preparing to Occupy America Nationwide

“OccupyMARINES Are Currently Assessing The Current Situation To Ascertain What Is Currently Needed To Support OWS America. We Are Humbled At The Substantial Support OWS America Has Provided And Ask That Everyone Continue As You All Do While We Implement Organization Nationwide. As We All Know, ‘Occupy’ Groups Are Being Established Even Now And Would Like To See This Trend Continue. “

Most military I know are strict Constitutionalists. And contrary to the protestations of a neighbor who is the wife of a Marine officer, the military often does support the people against government. It happened in Iceland and Egypt, and more than a few of the men who fought for America’s Independence were former British officers who could not support the King’s abuse of the colonists.

F-22 Raptor stealth fighters at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia have been grounded after a pilot experienced oxygen loss mid-flight. Gaddafi murder – international crime

There’s growing international pressure for an investigation into exactly how Libya’s ousted dictator Moammar Gaddafi died. The UN expressed concern over video footage taken following his capture which shows Gaddafi taken alive, before he was killed. Meanwhile, NATO said it’s winding down its bombing campaign in the country. London-based journalist and author Afshin Rattansi says that killing Colonel Gaddafi is an international crime.

‘Occupy’ movement has echoes in Abrahamic faiths

While our Scriptures call us to feed the hungry, they also instruct us to implement systems in which no one goes hungry.

This is a moment in history where all people in this country need to stand up, peacefully, to demonstrate against all the issues has caused this system to become broken, and become an element of positive change, wherever they are!

Biggest Challenge for Occupy Wall Street Will Be to Prevent Police Infiltrators From Provoking Violence

A recent article in the New York Observer highlights the ongoing challenge Occupy Wall Street faces in preventing the New York Police Department (NYPD) and perhaps FBI infiltrators from creating acts of violence that will turn the nation against the movement.

Mayor Bloomberg and the FBI know that nothing will change the mood of support for Occupy Wall Street faster than having them portrayed as a “violent mob.” So, there have been ongoing incidents of what appear to be provocations by the police or infiltrators to create an image of an unruly group of lawbreakers. (Just remember the Brooklyn Bridge incident for one.)

Young people accepted a home mortgage worth of debt before they ever even had a regular income based on phony promises.

First look at US pay data, it’s awful

There were fewer jobs and they paid less last year, except at the very top where, the number of people making more than $1 million increased by 20 percent over 2009.

The median paycheck — half made more, half less — fell again in 2010, down 1.2 percent to $26,364. That works out to $507 a week, the lowest level, after adjusting for inflation, since 1999.

The number of Americans with any work fell again last year, down by more than a half million from 2009 to less than 150.4 million.

Do they really think we’re going to look the other way and let them stick us with a $74 trillion bill — just to let good old “too big to fail” Bank of America off the hook?

Politics And Shadow Politics: Understanding The Elite’s War on Humanity

Neoconservatism and Environmentalism are the two schools of thought in this age that call for the mass destruction and mass death of human communities. Neocons want to conquer the Earth, and Environmentalists want to save it. Both groups are politically powerful, media savvy, financed by big money, and filled with psychotics who have fantasies of mass destruction and mass death.

Their death wish is our worst collective nightmare. When we wake up to a world gone crazy, they wake up to a world of beautiful orgies of destruction and death, of mass cleansing and social renewal, of new beginnings and old pleasures.

President Obama touts foreign policy successes in Iraq and Libya

President Barack Obama says the US withdrawal from Iraq and the death of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi show how his government has renewed American leadership in the world.
US President Barack Obama said his leadership had made it possible to turn the page on a decade of war and refocus on bolstering the US economy and paying down the national debt.

He added that the US will fulfil his electoral pledge to pull troops out of Iraq by the end of 2011.

“This week, we had two powerful reminders of how we’ve renewed American leadership in the world,” said the President.

Occupy What? A Short Guide to Real Change

These very pillars of the system must fall or they will block any transformation of the human condition. The system does not need to be tinkered with or even fundamentally changed (on the surface). The whole bloody lot must go… starting with:

It’s not a conspiracy! Elite controls global economy

Bankers really do control the world! That’s according to Swiss researchers who, in an exhaustive scientific study, mapped out a blueprint showing the real architects of global economic power.

From freemasons to the Council on Foreign Relations to Bilderberg, the belief that secretive groups control the world’s economic and political system are quite possibly as old as human civilization itself.

But while Occupy Wall Street protestors may be slightly exaggerating in calling themselves the 99 per cent, a recent study conducted by the Swiss Institute of Technology in Zurich shows that they aren’t too far off the mark.

Iraq rejects US request to maintain bases after troop withdrawal

The US suffered a major diplomatic and military rebuff on Friday when Iraq finally rejected its pleas to maintain bases in the country beyond this year.

Barack Obama announced at a White House press conference that all American troops will leave Iraq by the end of December, a decision forced by the final collapse of lengthy talks between the US and the Iraqi government on the issue.

Class War In America

Class war raged for decades. Business and America’s super-rich always win. In his 1925 short story titled “Rich Boy,” F. Scott Fitzgerald said:

“Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early…They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we..”

“Even when they enter deep into our world….they still think that that they are better than we are. They are different.”

French Court Orders ISPs to Block Access to Site That “Allow[s] Civilians to Post Videos of Alleged Police Misconduct”

The Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris [official website, in French] on Friday ordered [judgment in PDF, in French] French Internet service providers to block access to Copwatch Nord Paris I-D-F, a website designed to allow civilians to post videos of alleged police misconduct. The decision was applauded by the police union, Alliance Police Nationale (APN) [union website, in French], which argued that the website incited violence against police. Jean-Claude Delage, secretary general of the APN, said that “[t]he judges have analyzed the situation perfectly — this site being a threat to the integrity of the police — and made the right decision.”

Fact-finding mission regarding the anthrax-attacks

According to another leading anthrax-expert Hugh-Jones, the presence of Bacillus Subtilis in the letters would suggest “that somebody grew anthrax using equipment contaminated during earlier b. subtilis experiments. (…) This was not an incidental finding (…) The FBI had what I would call an institutional fingerprint. Whoever had that strain of (bacteria) has to answer to the investigators. (Link to

In March 2007, a high-ranking FBI official confirmed, that the contaminant “may be the most resolving signature found in the evidence to date,” according to a now-public memo from the investigation. (Link to … but according to journalist Greg Gordon, the FBI did the decision “to stop hunting for bacillus subtilis”:

Meryl Nass writes in her blog, that it is a “very suspicious omission”, that “since FBI knew that identifying the origin of the B. subtilis contaminant was crucial to solving the case, but failed to make the needed efforts to do so.” (Link to

Prepare For Armageddon

Most frightening of everything in this FSB report, however, is the reply Putin gave to Russia’s top generals yesterday when asked what preparations should be made and he answered…. “Prepare for Armageddon.”

Facebook Ireland accused of creating ‘shadow profiles’ on users, nonusers

Facebook Ireland is under fire for allegedly creating “shadow profiles” on both users and nonusers alike.

The startling charges against the social-networking giant come from the Irish Data Protection Commissioner (IDC), which, Fox News reports today, is launching a “comprehensive” investigation against Facebook Ireland for extracting data from current users–without their consent or knowledge–and building “extensive profiles” on people who haven’t even signed on for the service.

Elites Announce Post Gadhafi Hit List

Zen Gardner
Before It’s News

This will make your blood boil if it’s not already.

News “source” outlets like Associated Press and Reuters are owned propaganda mouthpieces for the elite controllers. Whatever they put out, especially in profiling pieces like this, is to give signals, while manipulating public opinion and preparing the populace for the next stages.

Never forget that.

Media And The US

From national security incident to harmless prank: How the media is covering up another Israeli intelligence operation against the United States

First treated as a major national security and terrorism-related incident, the early morning break-in of the Bexar County Court House in San Antonio, Texas on October 19 by five French passport bearers is now being relegated by the corporate media to a prank. The nation has been deceived before after small groups of young Israelis, posing as movers, art students, and mall kiosk operators were initially arrested across the United States in the months prior to and after the 9/11 attacks for national security-related reasons but they were quietly deported to Israel for mere visa violations.

Saving Sergeant Shalit, Condemning Palestinians to Torture and Children to Imprisonment

A boy soldier returns home to assuage the ‘righteous indignation’ of Israel, no longer “sensitive [even] to its image of democracy.” Palestinian soldiers and civilians of no blame, who were incarcerated and held in Israeli prisons for resisting the brutal occupation of their land, return to find themselves in another prison, Gaza, while others were forced into exile. All of the Palestinians released face an uncertain future. The future remains even more bleak for the Palestinian children left behind Israel’s prison walls, however.

Israel Arrests Palestinians While Releasing Others

Israel can’t be trusted. Its promises lack credibility and honor. Despite releasing 447 prisoners and promising another 550, new arrests are made regularly.

On October 21, Ma’an News said Israeli police detained 14 Palestinians Thursday (including three women and several Jews) while demonstrating peacefully at Hasharon prison for all incarcerated Palestinians to be freed.

They’re political prisoners, not criminals. Israel called their protest illegal for acting without official authorization. Muhammad Kananeh told Ma’an that police dispersed dozens of protesters forcefully.

Still under wraps

Strangely enough, the assassination question associated with murders by unmanned drones, forced that issue out from undercover.

Fortunately, the legality, the morality and the danger of blowback associated with assassinations reached the public arena.

The plight of the Palestinians has received more than usual attention since the Palestinian Authority decided to petition the UN for more complete recognition of Palestinian statehood.

Forced into a corner by the prospect of becoming a one-state apartheid regime, Netanyahu has now agreed to negotiate all issues related to a two-state solution. He’s buying time with words.

Corporatism Is Not Capitalism

Corporatism Is Not Capitalism: 7 Things About The Monolithic Predator Corporations That Dominate Our Economy That Every American Should Know

Iraq kicks US troops out of the country

Though this had been the president’s plan since he first campaigned for office, until the very last moment US diplomats and leading military officials tried to ink a secret plan that would allow Americans to stay in Iraq for years to come.

Gaddafi’s death breached the law, says Russia

“We have to lean on facts and international laws,” Mr Lavrov said. “They say that a captured participant of an armed conflict should be treated in a certain way. And in any case, a prisoner of war should not be killed.”

Russia has been critical of Nato military action in Libya, saying that it has gone well beyond the stated mission of saving civilian life. The main concern for Moscow now is whether the new Libyan authorities will honour contracts signed by the Gaddafi regime. As well as the oil and arms trade, Russian Railways had secured a £2bn contract to construct a railway line between Sirte and Benghazi. Moscow recognised the National Transitional Council as the official government of Libya last month and said it expected all existing contracts to be honoured.

US & Gullible Americans Celebrate Apparent Fortunes of Al Qaeda in Libya

At face value, the tenuous narrative of a struggling, desperate NATO confounded by months of fierce resistance on all fronts and an increasingly brutal and transparently atrocious proxy army on the ground in Libya, suddenly wringing victory from what was essentially a catastrophic failure, is difficult to believe.

This, especially as NATO desperately needs to turn its full attention toward Syria as the window of its imperial ambitions quickly closes forever.

Already, claims that Muammar Qaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam had been captured have turned out to be admittedly false, Reuters finally admits [1], even after an elaborate tale had already begun spreading through the biased, irresponsible corporate-driven Western media.

Video: Who is top ‘one percent’ in US?

Anti-corporatism protesters across the United States are not satisfied with the econoimc situation, saying that only one percent of the country’s population has the nation’s wealth…

Faux news can’t twist Occupy message

When we hear the protesters on Wall Street in New York chanting their messages and see the signs they carry, we should realize that they are very concise, mostly short and to the point, and very clear, but that is not what you get when you read most of the major newspapers and blogs and view US TV networks.

The Fox News Network tried to “infiltrate” the Occupy Wall Street encampment to discredit the movement’s message on the air, but the protesters didn’t fall for the trick, began chanting “FOX News Lies!” and embarrassed one of their infamous reporters so much he had to leave Zuccotti Park, which is located near Wall Street.

You have to love the graphic at the top of this article, and I take my hat off to whoever at created it! :-)

But the content is absolutely true, and the reason this movement must continue its bringing light to the reality that the US Congress is literally owned by the corporations which sponsor their election campaigns, covertly, or overtly.

This is why most of the legislation which is passed is great for corporations, but generally lousy for We the People.

KSA awaits next in line to throne

It is widely expected the US will throw its weight behind Bandar if he decides to fight for the ultimate post in the oil rich kingdom. Having lived in America, he is known to have secular ideas which many say he will use to de-traditionalize his country.

I would like to see whoever succeeds Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdel Aziz will be a man of both conscience and peace, and bring about long-needed reforms in this country.

Saudi Arabia also has a huge unemployment problem it desperately needs to fix.

The figures by the government statistics and information centre showed nearly 43.2 per cent of the Saudi males and females aged 20-24 years were unemployed at the end of 2009, nearly 20 per cent above the 2008 rate. The report, published in Saudi newspapers this week, showed more than 450,000 Saudi nationals of all ages were jobless last year.

‘Pakistan blocking attacks against Iran’

Iran’s deputy interior minister for security affairs says Islamabad has assured Tehran that it will not allow terrorist groups to use its soil to launch attacks against the country.

“Due to the long border between Iran and Pakistan, enemies have constantly tried to take advantage of regional issues, but [their efforts] have been foiled because of the vigilance of the two countries,” Ali Abdollahi was quoted by IRNA as saying on Saturday.

One has to wonder at just who, precisely, Pakistani and Iranian officials are characterizing as “terrorists”; The patsies suckered in by Mossad and VIA to deliver “cookies” to the police station and killing innocents, or the uniformed killers with the robotic drones launching missiles at wedding parties and killing innocents? For the people catching the shrapnel, there is no real difference.

This may be the reason that, although no land invasion against Pakistan by the US government is eminent, such an invasion may well not be terribly far off, if ,in fact, there is an Israeli/US plan for an attack against Iran.

Still under wraps: crimes and cover-ups waiting for answers

Paul J. Balles reviews the crimes and cover-ups still awaiting the international spotlight, from Israel’s murder of US sailors aboard the USS Liberty, to Israel’s nuclear programme and Bush administration war crimes.

The Occupation of Wall St. continues to grow in numbers, activities, and spirit. Last night there was a parent-toddler sleep-over in a padded and secure section of Zuccotti Park. Toddlers with decorated faces, dressed warmly against the chill, and munching bananas, raisins, and Oreos got ready to settle for the night with a combination of curiosity and excitement. Meanwhile, a large group of Verizon workers, prepared for a looming strike, marched past the park as occupiers joined them en route to a Verizon facility where they rallied.

What Scola omits – and considering she devotes considerable space (nearly 2,000 words) to this issue, the omission can not be anything but willful and deliberate – is Palestine. In fact, the word itself never appears in the entire article, nor is the 44-year occupation and blockade that controls Palestinian lives each and every day.

The reason this omission is so glaring is because over 60% of Israel’s fresh water supply comes from Palestinian aquifers in the West Bank, illegally seized in 1967 after a conflict instigated by Israel and subsequently controlled exclusively by the Israeli government and military in occupied Palestine.

Western media tries to make Palestinian political prisoners mere numbers while personalizing one Israeli soldier. So let me just give you the names and brief story of two of those released Palestinian political prisoners.

As I arrived at the tent, I felt that there was something strange going on. I asked a friend what had happened earlier. She answered while pointing, “That woman, Najiyya, just fainted when she learned that her husband is not included in the swap deal.” I kept sympathetically following her with my eyes wherever she went. She lifted my spirits up as she walked toward me and sat in an empty chair next to me. She smiled at me, despite her sorrow. I wish she knew how much people like her give me indescribable spiritual power with their incredible strength and steadfastness. Seeing her smile again, while knowing that she was broken inside, brought life to me. I couldn’t help but smile back with a look of admiration and appreciation.

Hawaii Homeless To Be Hidden As Global Overloads Visit For APEC Conference

How about instead we take down the Wall Street crooks who made these people all homeless in the first place? Even Allan Greenspan has admitted on video that fraud and criminality underlie the economic destruction of the nation for the last ten years, but the instruments of the government refuse to investigate and prosecute the biggest financial swindle in history, instead choosing to sweep the human debris from this disaster out of sight of “polite society.”

Occupy Melbourne calls for inquiry into police violence

Occupy Melbourne have called for a full inquiry into unlawful police behaviour amid scenes of police violence on the streets of Melbourne today. The call comes after riot police disrupted a peaceful demonstration in Melbourne’s CBD.

“We call on Premier Ted Ballieu and Lord Mayor Robert Doyle to back a full and independent investigation into the use of unlawful and excessive force by Victoria Police and the Melbourne City Council,” said Occupy Melbourne spokesperson Erin Buckley.

Georgia : Ivanishvili accepts that he may be assassinated for challenging Saakashvili

Ivanishvili also expressed his fear that, after challenging President Saakashvili, he was now expecting anything from the authorities in order to bar him from the politics.

“I do not even rule out that I might be shot; I realize it and I am careful,” he said.

“They captured father-in-law of my closest advisor and assistant Irakli Gharibashvili, a gun was planted on him. My son’s friend, popular DJ was detained, drugs were planted on him. They demanded disarmament from my guard. Prosecutor’s office may close Kartu Bank. They may even close my charity fund – call charity a bribe, they may detain my relative from the bank”, the businessman says.

British firms urged to ‘pack suitcases’ in rush for Libya business

The starting pistol for British firms to pursue contracts in Libya has been fired by the new defence secretary, Philip Hammond, who urged companies to “pack their suitcases” and head there to secure reconstruction contracts.

This is how the money-junkies make money off of war.

1. Nation A and Nation B are at peace, and free of debt.

2. The money-junkies hire the presstitutes to tell Nation A that Nation B is coming to kill them unless Nation A attacks Nation B first. Donations are made to candidates who are willing to murder a few million people for a piece of the profits.

3. The money-junkies loan nation A the money to buy weapons to blow up nation B.

4. Nation B says “What the fuck is this crap. Why are you attacking us?”

5. The money-junkies loan nation B the money to buy weapons to blow up nation A.

6. The war rages on and eventually one side wins and one sides loses. It doesn’t really matter which one, as both Nation A and Nation B are now heavily into debt to the money-junkies.

7. The money-junkies loan nation A the money to repair and replace all they lost in the war. Nation A eventually gets back to the exact same life they had before the war only now they are hopelessly in debt to the money-junkies.

8. The money-junkies loan nation B the money to repair and replace all they lost in the war. Nation B eventually gets back to the exact same life they had before the war only now they are hopelessly in debt to the money-junkies.

9. The money-junkies hire the presstitutes to tell Nation C that Nation D is coming to kill them unless Nation D attacks Nation C first. Donations are made to candidates who are willing to murder a few million people for a piece of the profits.

Libya is now at stage 7.
